TIO Subgroups
With TIO members’ extensive and wide-range of professional expertise and talents, TIO use professional “subgroups” to help members network with those in similar fields with ease. There are currently nine different professional subgroups in TIO.

Art, Culture & Education
People who are involved in fields related to art, music and education, such as musicians, artists, teachers, early childhood educators, teachers’ assistants, and graphic designers.

Building & Real Estate Development
Professionals whose work is related to real estate and construction, such as project managers, architects, interior designers, and real estate agents.

Computer & IT
People who work in industries related to computer and Information Technology, such as computer programmers, software developers, and computer technicians.

Engineering & Science
This subgroup is for people who work as professional engineers or scientists in public or private sectors or in post-secondary institutions.

Government, Politics & Legal
People who are in the professions of law, government and political offices fall into this category, such as lawyers, politicians, and political aides.

Health Care Professionals
Professionals such as doctors, dentists, optometrists, chiropractors, occupational therapists and nurses fall into this group.

Hospitality, Entertainment & Tourism
There is an increasing number of TIO members whose expertise are in this area. Many of them work in travel agencies, hotels, restaurants, or entertainment-related fields such as TV or radio shows.
