Title: Website Designer
Company: Work at Play
Industry: Digital Media/IT
Education: New Media Design & Web Development, BCIT; Human Geography, UBC
Introduction
My ideal career path has changed from Architectural Drafting, Physical Geography, Human Geography, to currently safely landed on Web Design. I have not participate in many TIO events; however, I have gained experience in event planning, communication, PR, social, and training when I was External VP at UBCTA. I would like to use my skill sets to help more people through TIO, and provide our services back to the community.

Sherrie Chiang, Vice President of Professional Development

Introduction
After working as a software developer for a few years, I decided that it was not the career path for me. I took a break and went traveling 6 months, then enrolled myself in the Project Management program in UBC. I am glad that I was introduced to TIO during this career change. It provided the support I needed, and I end up meeting many new friends along the way. TIO is always fun and wel- coming, I am sure everyone will benefit from it as much as I did.

Introduction
Foods are my weakness, although I don’t eat anything that was walking, running, jumping or flying. Sounds almost like a vegetarian, with swimming fishes as my only option beside all the greens. Therefore if you see a piece of meat in my plate that you are craving for, speak up.
And if you looking for problem solving, emotional supporting or just simply gossiping for a great pass time, friends, are one of those “one plus one greater than two” solutions. As a financial planner myself, being able to work with people suit my personality.
It’s nice to be able to work with TIO and progressively merging young professionals into main stream society.

After graduation from SFU, Kirk started his computing science career in web development. After a few years working with web applications, Kirk got involved involved with lean startups.

Olivia Chang, Program Director
|
 |
Introduction
Olivia is an accounting professional currently working in the online retail industry. Aside from work and focusing on obtaining her accounting designation, she has always enjoyed being actively involved in any organization she is apart of such as various clubs in high school, house council in university residence, and corporate event planning at work. In addition, she also has experience in volunteering in and around the community, more notably, at the Vancouver Winter Olympics opening and closing ceremonies as well as spending three weeks in Romania at an orphanage in 2008.
It was actually during her trip to Romania where she discovered a new passion: traveling with a purpose. Her goal is to volunteer abroad at least once every 5 years to help promote global awareness and encourage cross-cultural learning. In her spare time, she likes to play badminton and golf, listen to music, work on do-it-yourself projects and cheer on her favourite sports teams, the Vancouver Canucks and the Utah Jazz."

Title: System Developer II
Company: Accenture Outsourcing (BC Hydro Engagement)
Industry: Geographic Information System / IT
Education: B.A.Sc. Bio-Resource Engineering, UBC; Adv. Diploma GIS, BCIT
Introduction
Most people don’t get what I do when I tell them “GIS”, but most do when I explain it’s the technology that drives Google Map. Still, they never really know another part of me that loves social activities and making friends. This is where TIO comes in.
I’ve been on and off part of TIO since the beginning, but I have really started enjoying it when I started volunteering. It’s a great experience to be a part of the team that makes the events fun, successful and memorable. I look forward to contributing my energy and creativity to the Lifestyle team, as well as helping out on the IT side. :)
